The basketball and hockey seasons may still be gloriously with us, but the heat and pace of summer have certainly arrived. For many, that pace slows a bit to more of a leisurely stroll through the day and the languid enjoyment of warm evenings. Many thanks to all of you still hunting and gathering for the auction and to those of you in the midst of preparing for the pancake breakfast in anticipation of hundreds of ravenous appetites. Talk about loaves and fishes! We know who you are and are grateful for your contributions. They make the margin of difference in supporting an active and generous church all year round. Quite simply, we could not do it without the extraordinary extra-mile participation that has become an enduring hallmark of our congregation. Sue McCoy would be proud.
