These are the good people leading the parish in its thirteenth decade of faith and community.
Reverend Doctor Larry Hallett
Rev. Dr. Larry Hallett earned his B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University and Masters of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology. He later earned his Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Theological Seminary, where he wrote his doctoral dissertation on spirituality and recovery while working at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco.
After the church’s lengthy search to fill our pastor position, Dr. Hallett answered the Call in early spring of 2019. He comes to us from Southern California where, over time, he served as Pastor for the Pacific Beach Christian Church in San Diego, First Christian Church in Bellflower and North Long Beach Christian Church. After leaving the pastoral ministry for a period, Dr. Hallett worked in the hospice field as a chaplain/spiritual care counselor, as well as a bereavement coordinator.
In addition to Pastor Larry’s ministry at Kenwood Community Church, he continues to provide chaplaincy services through Heartland Hospice in Santa Rosa and throughout Sonoma County. Pastor Larry enjoys outdoor activities, running, hiking, and getting to know all the wonders of his new Northern California home with his partner, Pamela Travers. Pastor Larry is a kind and caring person who wants to serve God and care for people. We are excited to have Pastor Larry join our church family for a new chapter in our journey together at Kenwood Community Church.
The Moderator is the head lay leader
